Thwarted by the Coast Guard
A pre-breakfast easy run in Cape May to explore the eastern end of the island was thwarted by the presence of a Coast Guard base taking up the eastern third of the island. No wonder on the map the street abruptly ends 50 feet from another street. I am glad I didn’t try to find a creative way around or over the fence that I thought was there to keep me in the parking lot I was in, not out of the road I saw on the other side. The giant water tower that said “Coast Guard” should have been a tip-off. An interesting run if only that it was actually a little bit rainy.
